We will now compare each car against the Mercedes- Benz EQC as follows:
Mercedes-Benz vs Audi E-tron
The EQC looks like the Mercedes-Benz GLC the only difference is the EV platform. Mercedes claims 259 miles of range (WLTP), so more than the Audi's 239 miles. Yet the e-tron is able to use 150 kW rapid chargers, while the EQC is only equipped for a 110 kW maximum. Charging times it takes 35 minutes in the EQC and 25 minutes in the Audi. At home, charging with a wallbox will take 12 hours and 45 minutes for the Mercedes, but 13 hours 30 minutes for the Audi.
Design- The EQC has an 85 kWh battery on board, and 80 kWh of it is usable which helps prolong its life, while the e-tron has a 95 kWh battery with a usable capacity of 84 kWh.
Both also use a dual-motor layout, with one on each axle, which combine to provide these cars with 402 bhp and four-wheel drive. However, one area where the Mercedes outshines its rival is torque, as it has 760 Nm available, while the Audi has 664 Nm.
The two SUVs are similar in that there Lithium-ion batteries are on the floor this help to lower centre of gravity of the car. However, the cars are still heavy. The EQC weighs 2,495 kg and the e-tron is 2,490 kg, so they’re much weightier than a normal SUV of this size.
Mercedes-Benz vs Tesla model X
The EQC has room for 5 adults while Model X has a room for 7 people.
Tech- EQC has two screens 10.25 in. The MBUX infotainment system also shows BEV-specific info like range, current flow, charging status. Furthermore, the sat-nav is optimized for electric use (and recharge) by calculating your routes depending on the total charging time. The Mercedes Me app helps you control the car’s “pre-entry climate” and gives you most of the BEV outlined.
Model X has 17 in which is currently the largest ,coolest screen in the current EVs. The Model X shows all the BEV-relevant info, also shown via a mobile app as well.
Powertrain- It has 402 hp (300 kW) and 765 Nm (564 lb-ft) are the power and torque output of the all-new Mercedes-Benz EQC. Performance-wise, this Mercedes would be best placed near the Tesla Model X 100 D which comes with 417 hp (311 kW) and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of torque.
Acceleration-The Model X 100 D can sprint to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.7 seconds. The EQC does it in 4.9 seconds and is electronically limited to a top speed of 112 mph (180 km/h) top speed, thus making it 43 mph (69 km/h) slower than the Model X which is limited at 155 mph (250 km/h).
Model X is faster than the EQC. EQC has a range of 280 miles (450 km) on a single charge while Model X 100 D is 20 miles short here, with a claimed 260-mile (418 km) range.
