The JAC iEV7 is one of the fastest EV in China . It is based on the JAC Refine A60 sedan, dressed up with an aerodynamic front and blue decorations. JAC has a long experience with making EV’s. They were one of the first with the iEV4, the iEV5 is a big sales success, and many more cars are coming. The IEV7S is the replacement to the IEV6S, it has the same dimensions and wheelbase, is powered by the same electric motor but has a larger liquid cooled battery with 39 kWh, giving it a range of 280 km. The new battery can be charged to 100% in 7 hours on a 220 V home charger or in 1,5 hours on a fast charger. Volkswagen is expected to rebadge the IEV7S as the first vehicle of its new Chinese EV-brand that the newly founded VW-JAC joint venture will launch.
The iEV7 gets the usual EV treatment; a lot of blue stuff (blue and green) and a fancy grille. The mirrors are blue too.

The size is same to that of the A60 which measures 4995 mm/1890 mm/1503 mm and wheelbase is 2915 mm.
All EV cars coming to the Chinese market adds to the fast growing fleet of electric cars on the road. Car makers are experimenting with a wide variation of body styles. The main trends appear to be city cars, small sedans, and compact SUV’s. Presently, all but a few Chinese EV’s are based on existing petrol-powered cars. China still lacks a manufacturer that takes on mass production of unique electric cars, but with the rewards so seemingly high it likely won’t take long before someone takes charge.
